Sessions with Olivia Grey Pritchard are low key, fun, and a blast for the kids! Part of Olivia's unique talent is her ability to connect with ALL of her subjects -- babies, children, pets, and parents -- turning your session into a playdate where everyone relaxes enough to let his true personality come through. The resulting image gallery will be full of photographs that leave you saying, "oh, that's so HER!" and "I see that face ALL the time!" -- all shot in Olivia's clean, professional style.
Olivia is a Certified Professional Photographer through the Professional Photographers of America -- an honor less than 6% of America's photographers hold. Olivia is the only family photographer in New Orleans to have completed the CPP process. Her newborn and family photography has won awards at regional and international levels.
Olivia has a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Master's Degree in Mass Communication. From 2006-2009 she worked for the United Nations in Burundi and Chad as a Public Information Officer and Mission Photographer. From 2009-2011 she worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo as the Advocacy and Communication Adviser for the Norwegian Refugee Council. After 5 years in conflict zones, Olivia was ready to change careers and be closer to home. She moved back to the South, settled in New Orleans, and Olivia Grey Pritchard Photography was born!
A strong believer in giving back to the community, Olivia volunteers as Area Coordinator for the international nonprofit Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, which provides the gift of professional portraiture to families suffering the loss of a baby. For the past three years she has also served as Teaching Artist for the Pablove Shutterbugs program that takes place every Spring and Fall in New Orleans. Shutterbugs is a 5-week photography course for children living with cancer, gifting them equipment and teaching them the art of photography. Olivia LOVES helping these kids develop their artistic voices through photography! She also advocates and fundraises for the New Orleans Innocence Project, a legal nonprofit that works to exonerate wrongfully convicted men and women in Louisiana and Mississippi. She encourages everyone to check out any of these three amazing organizations if they're looking for worthy causes to contribute either their time or funding!
Hannah, our studio manager extraordinaire, has worked at Olivia Grey Pritchard Photography since 2013 and loves getting to know each and every client! Hannah and Olivia are sisters -- if you've met them, you can probably tell! Originally from Hattiesburg, Hannah received her B.A. and M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Southern Mississippi. Hannah has a full house of three cats and three dogs, making her the perfect assistant for pet sessions -- she also occasionally assists with newborn sessions, and her background in childcare makes her a rock star assisting with toddler siblings. Hannah has a beautiful voice and frequently performs in New Orleans theatre productions -- and brings that talent to studio sessions when we need to entertain kids with their favorite Disney song!
